S01: Young Saxon noble Uhtred transforms into a warrior and seeks to regain the lands annexed by his cunning uncle.

S02: While the bloody struggle between Saxons and Vikings engulfs the land, Uhtred sets out to avenge his slain family and reclaim his ancestral home.

S03: As Alfred's health weakens -- and with it, his dream of a united England -- Uhtred faces divided loyalties and new invaders to Wessex's shores.

S04: As Edward and Aethelflaed spar over the future of Mercia and their father's dream of a united England, Uhtred tries to recover his lost birthright.

S05: Despite the fragile peace that has prevailed in England for years, Uhtred believes that difficult days are approaching. Events that occur soon after confirm his suspicions.
