Love Is For the Strong tells the story of two mothers in search for justice after a police invasion in their community led to a tragedy that changed the lives of these two families forever. On one hand, Rita deals with the death of her youngest son, Sushi. On the other, Edna, the mother of police officer Digão, faces the consequences of her son's actions during the operation.

S01E02 Living at war is weary

Sushi's death has consequences for both families. While Digão faces the investigation for the case, Sinistro and Rita deal with their grief and try to raise money for the funeral. Under pressure, Digão blames Lopes, his fellow officer for the occurrence. The community gathers to say goodbye to Sushi and is surprised by yet another violent police action.
