But Leonel's dreams are derailed when he's deported to Mexico and discovers that he was never naturalized as an American citizen. In a country where he doesn't speak the language, Leonel unexpectedly finds himself reconnecting with his roots and making new friends who set out to help him find his way back home.

Leonel and Miss Meche get a surprise visit from Grace, who asks him to go back with her to the US. Grace surprises Leonel and Miss Meche, leading to a deluge of exaggerated rumors and gossip flooding the neighborhood. Also, El Gordo learns the truth about Yadi and Martin is confronted by Grace's parents. After spending the night together, Leonel and Miss Meche receive an unexpected visit from Grace, whose arrival sparks endless rumors and exaggerated gossip in the neighborhood. El Gordo finds out that Yadi is a transsexual and sends for her. While Grace pleads with Leonel to come back with her to the US, her parents confront Martin.
